Amundsen House of Chaos

Let's face it, when you have a kid who survived a stroke, life is always going to be a little chaotic.

My whirling dirvish!

That is a really good definition of Riley. She is into everything. I can do her hair and 5 seconds later it looks like this! She is the biggest ragamuffin! Notice the multiple bruises to her head. These are not inflicted by anyone other than herself. Yesterday she tripped over nothing and fell into the corner of Colby's bed. Here is the short list of things Riley did yesterday. Banged her head twice. Threw food from the table into the middle of the kitchen floor. Easiley 6 feet and over a counter and under the cupboards. I don't know if I could do that. Spilled a soda all over her clothes. Learned to climb up onto a big chest and stand next to the tv. Climb the bookshelf. She only got to the second shelf but still! We cleaned and organized the toy room two days ago. She managed to take every toy off the bottom two shelves in about 5 minutes. In the 15 seconds it took me to run upstairs to get the phone she managed to break a huge fishbowl filled with changed and then carry it down the hall without cutting herself. AHHHHHHHHH She has also learned a new word. Sock! It is her most favorite word right now. she runs around the house yelling sock sock sock. Only bad thing is ...... She doesn't say the S she says it with a C. I refuse to take her into any store with socks in it because I know she will start yelling it from the top of her lungs. Riley is such a fun little girl but for now she isn't allowed anywhere with out adult supervision. I'm afraid of what is going to happen next!

HEHE! Jordan is our little busy bee for sure. This morning I caught him climbing from a chair he'd pushed over to the piano- up onto the very top of the piano. YIKES! He's learned to climb bunk bed ladders already too. I almost had a meltdown the day he figured out how to pull our lever doorknobs and open all the doors. ACK! I'm amazed he hasn't tried to climb out of his crib yet. He's a busy, busy boy. Sounds like he and Riley would have a blast, and wherever they went would look like a tornado blew through.
