Amundsen House of Chaos

Let's face it, when you have a kid who survived a stroke, life is always going to be a little chaotic.

Now I've got it. or some crazy version of Thankful something.

I've got the flu. I want to wallow in body aches and pains, nausea and headaches but I think instead I'll talk about what I'm thankful for. Maybe I'll be in a better mood after. Just as a warning some of these might hold a small like teeny tiny amount of sarcasm in them.

Thank you to my lovely kiddos who share so nicely. Thank you to Riley who has been up every two hours at night for the last week and who has not slept past 6:00 in the morning yet this week.

Thank you to our rental company who came and replaced our dishwasher this morning. Thank you to the owner who values quality in their appliances. I am grateful to have a nice new GE dishwasher to use. (That was a serious one, no sarcasm intended!)

Thank you gray sky for dashing any hope of spring coming early this year. I can see half my lawn though and it is tempting to continue hoping that spring will come early but....

I know better. So thank you mother nature for the last few warm days that reminded me that spring is really just around the corner and I will make it through the remaining gray.

Thank you for sleeping all day Colby. I'm sure that tonight will be such a fun party without a nurse for you. I'm so looking forward to you being awake all night when I'm not feeling well. I truly am thankful though that you are such a wonderful boy to be a mom too. When ever I think life might not be fair or a little bit hard you remind me how worth it all is!

I'm thankful that Jahnna gave me such attitude this morning. Really I am. She reminded me that because everyone else has been sick I've been neglecting her a little bit. I will work on fixing that this afternoon. Maybe we'll fold laundry together or something. J/K that would just bring more attitude.

I'm thankful that I have an outlet like my blog to keep me going on days when I don't want to. It lets me look back and see how far we've come.

What are you thankful for today?
